Digital 128bit Encryption Phone

Q: Why use communications security devices?
A: Similar to keeping documents in a filing cabinet, or locking an office door overnight, protecting your communications against accidental or purposeful interference is a sensible business decision, regardless of whether or not your information is actually 'secret'. Secure communications allow the best use to be made of your communications equipment, for example, fax machines are both faster and cheaper than couriers.

Q: Is encryption the same as scrambling?
A: No. Scramblers provide an intermediate level of security that is effective against casual interception. Encryption offers a much higher level of security that can be effective against the most determined 'attacks'.

Q: What makes SignalGuard products so good?
A: SignalGuard products have been designed with the user in mind: Both installation and operation are extremely simple; the operating systems are automatic yet flexible and products can be easily customized to suite the requirements of a specific user. The voice products offer superb voice reconstruction, and the key management system is superior to traditional systems.

Q: Are these products compatible with each other?
A: Yes. The products within each series are fully compatible with each other.

Q: Must I have a unit at each end of the communication?
A: Yes. Because the signal or information has been encrypted or scrambled, it must be decrypted or de-scrambled at the receiving end for it to be legible.

Q: Will I have to change my existing communications equipment?
A: No. The devices will work transparently and automatically with your existing equipment.

Q: How do I invoke the security?
A: Depending on the product and its settings, security is achieved by doing nothing, pressing one button, inserting a key, or entering a PIN number.

Q: What is the warranty?
A: All SignalGuard products carry a one year warranty.

Q: Are SignalGuard products digital or analog?
A: SignalGuard products utilize analog technology, however, as with fax machines (which are analog), SignalGuard products will operate perfectly on digital lines.

Q: Is it possible to make conference calls secure?
A: Yes. The Elite2000 Series allow conference calls to be secured.

Q: Can the products be customized for a particular customer?
A: Yes. There are a number of ways that SignalGuard products may be customized to suit a particular user.

Q: How can PIN numbers offer realistic security?
A: When a PIN number is entered, it is only used to modify the eight digit corporate or global code. This is then used to randomly generate eight 16 bit random numbers which are used as seed numbers for a random number generator. Two distinct sets of one hundred twenty eight 16 bit random numbers are produced. These numbers are then manipulated considerably before being used as coefficients in the convolve.

Q: Will my voice still be recognizable?
A: Yes. This technology ensures that the quality of voice reconstruction is excellent -- full toll quality.

Q: How do I know that it does what you say it does?
A: Elite encryption products have been appraised by a number of independent organizations as well as many other government, military and police organizations around the world.

Q: What will someone encounter if they try to intercept my communications?
A: If someone was able to intercept your communications without causing them to be interrupted, they would only hear unintelligible sounds or would observe a noise-like signal.

Q: Can a third SignalGuard device be used by someone to eavesdrop?
A: No. There are enough security options available so that communications will be protected, even against someone who has a device programmed with the same Corporate Code.
